XXLpix are opening another print centre |
| Berlin, July 02, 2007 - The product XXL Canvas Photo is becoming more popular all over Europe. In order to meet the growing demand and also to maintain the same high quality and level of service the XXLpix GmbH has opened a further print centre in Berlin. With the support of new manufacturing technology the quality of the product that has already been awarded the highest seal of approval ahead of its rivals has been further improved. |
“For us it has been an important step to be able to cope even better with the growing number of retailers in our sector”, is how the managing director of XXLpix ,Daniel Cäsar, explains the situation: “It is above all the customer in this sector that has such high expectations as regards the quality of our products. We have earned from these expectations and have improved quality standards quite considerably”. This is above all really quite remarkable because the company was already market leader in Europe as far as quality goes even before the new production got under way: this was proved by independent tests of the product.
This quality of services provided by XXLpix that has become widely known even outside the sector was the reason for the highest density of sales outlets in this sector over the past few years. Even now more than 1500 photographers and shops are starting to offer this particular product with great success. But even this still does not go far enough for the Berlin-based company which has more ambitious plans. This year the company will build up a connection with more than 700 retailers in the photographic trade through just one partner. This is a step for which XXLpix is ideally prepared thanks to the new production centre.
Even the technical background of the new print centre is impressive: with the new equipment XXLpix is in a position to distribute the company’s workload more rationally in terms of quantity. Thus, for example, it is now possible during the Christmas, a period when orders are at a peak, to distribute work in real-time amongst the print centres according to format and finishing. Markus Haaga, who is head of technical developments, is particularly proud of the new solution: “As a result of the technical links in the new print centre we are able to analyse the entire flow of orders in real-time and route them automatically in the best possible way without depending on a particular site so that equipment is used in the most economical way. We can reduce the equipment’s idle time and in this way we can also reduce average production time by a further 30 %”. And this is an important consideration when it is a question of maintaining the highest quality consistently. |
