XXLpix supports ice hockey team "Eisbären Berlin" |
| Berlin, August 20, 2007 - XXLpix GmbH, a rapidly growing provider of photography services, has signed a sponsorship deal with the Berlin ice hockey club. The successful ice hockey team – who were German champions in 2004/2005 and much more – is an excellent partner for the leading European provider in canvas printing. Both XXLpix and the Eisbären have their roots in former East Germany and have large ambitions for the coming years. |
“The sponsorship of the Eisbären Berlin is an attractive partnership for XXLpix“, explained Daniel Cäsar, managing director of XXLpix. The move into the new O2 Arena with 17,000 seats marks the start of a new era for the hockey team. For the heads of XXLpix, this marks yet another parallel with their own company, which has just expanded its core business beyond the borders of Europe. The heads of both companies are preparing themselves for considerable expansion and have ambitious goals for the coming years. “The corporate image of the Eisbaren is an excellent match for us and provides the ideal point for us to enter this partnership”, declared Daniel Cäsar.
Beyond the positive image created by the successful Berlin ice hockey club, XXLpix is also hoping to promote sport in Berlin. Particularly in large cities, the number of young people getting involved in sport is declining – something which needs to change. The support of the Eisbären will help to continue promoting youth activity, thus forming a basis for securing the future of ice hockey in the German capital. |
